I'm tired as hell, but I figure that I'm way overdue for a site update, so here it is.  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

As I pass the 175-mark for discs I've seen this year, I've re-arranged my DVD watched list at the bottom of this page to make it a little easier to read.  Now the DVDs are listed in ratings order and recently watched titles are in a different color.

I'll be gone for a couple of weeks on vacation.  Be good, no parties in the house, and try not to break anything.

There are a few new reviews since the last update, including Jonni Darkko's debut with Evil Angel, Angels of Debauchery.  Great stuff--check it out.

To comply with AdultDVDTalk's new image policy, I am removing all hardcore images from this site and from my reviews.  I didn't have very much explicit content on the site, but I did have a lot of images that would fall under the new 2257 guidelines.  I could give my opinion about the new Justice Dept. rule interpretations, but I couldn't say what hasn't already been said.  I'll just leave it at "that sucks."

Just a couple of new reviews:  Andrew Blake's Naked Diva and Antonio Passolini's Mondo Porno.  I've muddled through 93 DVDs so far this year, and there's not that much to get excited about. :-(

With the unpleasantness of a crashed hard drive behind me, I've completed a few new reviews and also updated various areas of this site.  Among the changes:  a step-by-step example of how to find an Easter egg (with screen shots), my revised About Saki profile, the Review Index, and my DVD collection list.

I also have a few more scratch & dent DVDs to give away to the first people who see this and e-mail me.  See the Nov. 11, 2003 entry at the bottom of this page for the fine print and instructions on how to request a scratch & dent disc.

Now I know what that means...a few weeks ago, my newish 200GB hard drive decided on its own that its master file table would be corrupted, and pretty much destroyed most of the data (including my digital photos, MP3's, DVD reviews in progress, software, just about everything).  Despite spending a lot of time and money to try to recover what I could, I ended up having to rebuild my computer from scratch.  At least I had the bulk of the stuff on DVD and CD backups, so I didn't loose everything.  Still, there was a lot of stuff that I lost permanently, not to mention the better part of a month's worth of lost productivity.  So, now I'm a backup zealot. 'Nuff said.

Anywho, that's why I've not responded to a lot of e-mail and one of the reasons why I haven't written a review in more than a month.  The other reason I haven't reviewed is because I've been pretty unimpressed by the crop of discs I've rented recently.  Of the 50+ discs I've watched this year (see lower right column), only a few of them were review-worthy.  Hopefully, I'll sit down some time in the next couple of weeks and review those.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.  And if you don't back your important files onto disc, you're putting your digital life in the hands of things without souls. ;-)

If you receive an e-mail with an attachment that claims to be from "The sakivision.com Team" or seems to be coming from an official-sounding address @sakivision.com, you have received a message that contains the Beagle.J worm.  Don't panic (unless you've already opened it), just delete it without opening the attachment.  If you have opened it, follow the directions in the link above.

The only e-mail address I use is saki (at) sakivision.com, and I do not send attachments unless there's a reason to and you are expecting the delivery.  I don't send unsolicited e-mail either, so don't blindly follow links, even if it appears the sender is me.  The sender's address in an e-mail can be easily spoofed, so again, if you're not expecting an e-mail from me, don't open or follow instructions within.

Well, it's officially 2004, and I'm getting ready to head off to a warmer climate for vacation.   I'll be gone for about two weeks, so look for the next update sometime in the middle of January.  With the six reviews completed in December, I wrote 63 adult DVD reviews in 2003.  My New Year's Resolution is to pick up the pace, or else I'll still have un-reviewed DVDs for many New Years to come!
