About My Reviews

Before your read my reviews, you should read about my porn preferences first.  That will give you an idea of how likely you are to agree with my opinions and ratings.  I always welcome feedback, good or bad, about the content of my reviews.

My adult DVD reviews generally fall into two types of reviews, Full Reviews and Brief Reviews:

Full Reviews

These reviews make up the majority of the reviews that I've done.  They feature fairly comprehensive critiques, including likes, dislikes, and recommendations.  There's also a plot or scene summary (although I try to avoid giving 'play by play' recaps of the action) and notes on DVD extras and quality. 

In Feb. 2001, I changed to a more visually-appealing and hopefully informative format for my reviews and also began to add screen shots from the DVDs.  I'm slowly going back to reformat and revise older reviews, but I will take me some time to do that.  These changes added a sidebar on the left that contains information on the title, such as director, running time, special features, other title recommendations, themes or fetishes, target audiences (new), and replay value (new). Finally, where possible, I've included representative screen shots taken using my DVD-ROM drive.  The older reviews are flagged in the index below with an 'O' in the notes bracket, while newer ones have an 'F' (for 'F'ull).

Truly excellent DVDs get special recognition via my Visionary Awards, which I give based on outstanding sexual content, story/concept, DVD features, or DVD quality. Look for a 'V' in the notes bracket.

Brief Reviews

Here's a perfect example of how true my tag line, "So Much Porn, So Little Time" is:  I once said that I wasn't going to do capsule reviews, but I'm faced with a dilemma:  I have more DVD's queued up for review than I have time for.  At my average pace of reviewing, the backlog is about a year's worth of discs at any given moment.  I'm also constantly renting and trading DVDs, and I just don't have the time to do full reviews on everything I run across.  But rather than not giving some feedback on a title if I can't do a full review on it, I thought it would be helpful to give at least some information.  So I've decided to write brief reviews on selected DVDs -- hopefully that will help clear some of my backlog and let me focus my full reviews on especially good titles (they are the ones that usually take the most time to watch and review).  These mini-reviews are necessarily less detailed than my full reviews, especially in the "What's It About" section, but should give you and idea of why I liked or didn't like the video.  Brief reviews are denoted below with a 'B' in the notes bracket.

Review Index

My reviews are grouped by star rating, then listed alphabetically.  The format is title (hyperlinked to the review), studio in parenthesis, the date the review was first posted, and notes in brackets.  The notes legend is:  F=Full Review (new format), O=Old-Style Full Review, B=Brief Review, SS=Screen Shots, and V=Visionary Awards with the number of Visies earned immediately following (maximum of 4 Visies possible).
